About the School

Welcome to the Farrell School of Irish Dancing. The School was established in January 2007, and is currently part of the World Irish Dance Association (WIDA).  Dancers will have the opportunity to take part and compete at Nationwide Feisanna (Competitions) as well as perform in local displays and shows.

We take great pride in having a very high standard of dancing throughout the school and the dancers enjoy all aspects of the discipline from solo step dancing to team show dancing.  Our aim is to build on our success and continue to grow to be the best we can be, to create a safe and friendly environment where dancers can have fun, make lots of new friends and build in self-confidence whilst learning a unique skill.

In the last 5 years, we have had 4 British National Champions and countless podium places at the WIDA European & British Championships. This was a fantastic achievement for the School and Dancers alike and as our school continues to go from strength to strength we are very pleased to have over 60 dancers currently registered with us.

We hold classes 3 times a week in Fairford Gloucestershire, and we have recently expanded into Swindon Wiltshire. So there is plenty of opportunity for your child to get involved. Please check out our Classes Page for more specific information on class times and locations.

We have a very exciting year for 2012, as we are taking 5 of our dancers to the WIDA World Championships in Dusseldorf Germany, over the Easter Holidays in April. I would like to wish these dancers the very best luck.

We are available for hire to perform at any types of events, however big or small. So please do get in contact with us to discuss your needs. During 2011 we performed at the Royal International Air Tattoo, with Miss Kelz Dance Academy, Strawberry& Steam Weekend, Cotswold Show, Fairford Festival and ended the year performing alongside the Essence of Ireland.

If you would like to be part of this ever growing and very exciting dancing school, please contact Clare where she will be happy to assist with any questions you may have.
